These are nesting ottomans with x2 included in each set. These stack one inside the other when not in use.. one fits inside by slightly varying size in height and width.Best part of all- these have a very small footprint so they are easy to accommodate into an area without taking up much room and yet, like magic.. they provide plenty of practical living space! See magic..!! (height made to use with standard size couch)Solid construction and craftsmanship built on solid wooden frame.. pleather is pulled taut without any gapes or loose finish. Metal rimmed base is gold in color and shows smudges/finger prints that wipe clean with windex. Wooden lids are the bomb!! Closed shut they’re a cushioned top.. flipped over they become a rock solid wooden surface- stable enough to set drinks, laptop, etc.. without worry tipping or instability.My only complaint would be color description.. as stated brown- this is more in line like a gray-olive with cool khaki undertone.. nothing brown about it!Overall, a respectable option to serve a number of purposes.. its priced appropriately so you’ll feel comfortable using without worry to cause damage. These come as a pair set (I did not know that when I'd requested them), the smaller one contained inside the other larger one. They're very sturdy, and actually hold my weight quite comfortably. The lids fit nicely, and they look nice. The only thing that might be of concern for some is that they rest upon plastic pegs which if placed on a smooth surface have a tendency to cause the units to not remain stationary when any amount of weight is being placed upon them. Outside of that one issue of potential concern, these can be nice little home additions that can serve a couple of useful purposes whenever you find yourself needing just a little something 'extra' around the house. Their price is comparable to other similar items on the market.I thought I would use these as ottomans in my living room but not paying attention to the two different sizes, I have put them in my bathroom at the makeup vanity. The stools are really cute and modern. They are well made and light enough to transport from one space to another. The gold bar at the bottom comes covered in a white protective plastic you will have to peel off. The material is soft and wipeable. The smaller stool fits perfectly inside the larger with both lids on each ottoman. They are large enough to sit on, I will be using the larger one more than the smaller one, I wish they would have made them the same size. There is enough cushion on the lids for comfortable sitting, it's not a chair so it won't be great for long sitting or lounging. Unless you know how to incorporate the two different sizes into your decor I would not recommend them for a living room, but they are super cute to add to your decor.These are great Ottomans and I love being able to flip over the top to use as a side table. It was a little strange that I ordered brown and received a box that said khaki, but yet they seem grey to me. So I’m not sure what that’s about. I actually like the color so not a big deal but might be for you. I actually ended up using the smaller one as a pot for a fake tree and it looks really good! I would recommend this product. You can use the lid as seating on the cushioned side, or as a table top or a serving try by using the hard wooden side. The overall look is pretty nice as well, I do thing the shiny gold strip on the bottom is a bit gaudy and weird and honestly looks a bit cheap. But other than that this is a cute set!I wanted these for hidden storage for kids toys in the living room. They are kind of small to use as “storage coffee tables” in front of our couch & look kind of out of place. The color brown is actually more of a grey brown. I don’t like the gold around the bottom, it makes them look cheap to me. It’s more like brass than the picture shows & it’s very yellowy. Kind of expensive for what you get. The leather part is nice & even though it’s not as described, I really like the color. The wooden tops are nice too. The wood can face up or down.
